Collagen genes turned up
Skin biopsies showed higher activity in the genes that build the skin's supporting framework, the extracellular matrix. Three collagen genes, COL1A1, COL5A2 and COL14A1, rose significantly compared with placebo.
In a 14-week study at Ohio State, women aged 30 to 65 who took a purified shilajit extract showed more activity in three collagen genes and better blood flow to the skin.* Holy Shilajit Shots give you 400 mg of shilajit extract and 3,000 mg of fulvic acid in one small shot a day.

*Findings from Das et al., Journal of the American College of Nutrition (2019), which tested PrimaVie® shilajit extract at 125 mg or 250 mg twice a day. Holy Shilajit products were not part of the study.
Researchers at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center gave healthy women either a purified shilajit extract or a placebo for 14 weeks. Then they measured blood flow in the skin and analyzed skin biopsies for changes in gene activity.
Skin biopsies showed higher activity in the genes that build the skin's supporting framework, the extracellular matrix. Three collagen genes, COL1A1, COL5A2 and COL14A1, rose significantly compared with placebo.
At 250 mg twice a day, blood flow through the tiny vessels that feed the skin improved compared with both the start of the study and the placebo group. Genes involved in growing new small blood vessels went up too.
No adverse effects were reported over the 14 weeks, and the supplement didn't affect the skin's barrier.
Hydration, elasticity and moisture loss didn't change significantly in 14 weeks. The changes the researchers found were underneath, in gene activity and blood flow. We'd rather tell you that than promise overnight results: this is a daily habit that supports your skin, not a quick fix.

Shilajit is a resin that seeps out of Himalayan rock, formed over centuries from compressed plant matter. It carries dozens of trace minerals, but the part researchers keep pointing to is fulvic acid: a small natural molecule that binds minerals and is thought to help your body absorb them.
The extract in the study was standardized to at least 60% fulvic acid. We built both of our products around it.
The study ran for 14 weeks. Pick the form you'll actually stick with.
Shake, twist, drink. No mixing, no measuring, and it fits in your bag. Each shot has 400 mg of shilajit extract plus 3,000 mg of fulvic acid.
At one a day, the 100-shot supply lasts 100 days, a little longer than the 14-week study.
The traditional form. Dissolve a pea-sized piece, about 300 mg, in warm water or tea once or twice a day.
One 15 g jar lasts about a month.

“See actual 3rd-party lab results from our latest production batch.”
No, and we want to be upfront about that. The study used PrimaVie®, a purified shilajit extract standardized to at least 60% fulvic acid, at 125 mg or 250 mg twice a day. We share it because it's the clearest human research on shilajit and skin we've found. Each Holy Shilajit Shot contains 400 mg of shilajit extract and 3,000 mg of fulvic acid, and our Gold Grade resin tests at 66% fulvic and humic acids.
In the 14-week study of women aged 30 to 65, no adverse effects were reported. As with any supplement, talk to your doctor before starting if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition.
The study measured its results at 14 weeks, so plan on at least that long. At one shot a day, the 100-shot supply lasts 100 days. With resin, one 15 g jar lasts about a month.
Same Himalayan shilajit, different ritual. Shots are ready to drink and add 3,000 mg of fulvic acid. Resin is the traditional form: you dissolve a pea-sized piece in something warm. Order the 100-shot supply and we'll add a jar of resin free, so you can try both.
Yes. Shilajit is a mineral supplement, so it goes alongside your routine rather than replacing it. If you take prescription medication, check with your doctor first.
Our Gold Grade resin's certificate of analysis includes a heavy-metals panel, and our shots are tested by an independent U.S. lab for purity and microbial safety. Both certificates are published on this page so you can read them yourself.
